Black Sidekick 3 Coming?
I don’t know what to say about this one. This Sidekick dropped into my office earlier today and it is a solid black case, not painted. Looks extremely sharp and the texture is almost like the T-Mobile dash. My sources at Danger have not been able to confirm or deny this, as far as I know it could be a pre-production model, or a custom Sidekick done up for a celebrity by Danger. Yessir, completely agree with you. But BlackBerry can’t touch the Sidekick’s AIM client, hands down best one out there.

No doubt. I’m not very dependent on AIM, so GTalk works well for me.
Not to mention, the 8100 is the first BlackBerry that I don’t feel like I have to change to another phone on the weekends in order to avoid wearing a holster or having my pocket stuffed with a behemoth 8700 or even 7100 series. Now it’s an option. As a matter of fact, I sold 4 phones last month because I didn’t need other small ones… Now I’m down to the 8100, Nokia 6630 (mainly for Japan), and my old school phones.
I wonder if this one will be their myfaves compatible phone?
Yeah I know they can make any of the myfaves compatible. But they haven’t for some reason. I like this or maybe the Blackberry coming in 07.
can u unlock the sk3 to run on other networks??
@ Synergy: SK3’s are supposedly going to be myFaves capable with an OTA firmware update.
@ Rag: As with all other GSM phones, the SK3 can be unlocked, but in order to take advantage of the device, you must be using it on a network that provides hiptop service.
Looks like a Diane Von Furstenberg LE Sidekick with a regular Sidekick screen and keyboard. And this is probably what it is.

im not even a big fan of the sidekick but its damn near undeniable in black….
hopefully the black model does get released…

Its only for new modles built with the software. None of the older models will be updated. Also, myfaves phones have 5 circles somewhere on the back.. the little emblem

Ok, there has been a ton of speculation surrounding this black sidekick and I wanted to clear a few things up. First people are saying this is a modded LE sidekick, is it possible? Sure anything is possible. Do I think it is? No. Reason being is that the whole case has a rubber finish like the battery cover which I have never seen before and the source I got this from has direct connections to Danger. Danger does make custom sidekicks for celebrities which I had said in my post, they did a Black Wall Street one for Game last year, and a S. Carter one for Jay-Z. Originally Danger was going to release a Jay-Z sidekick with the prepaid service but decided not to. Do I think this will be released? Who knows…Like I said this was not confirmed to me by any of my sources including ones at Danger this very well could be a one-off. Hope this helps…

qis, if you live in the US, you can get it from suncom or T-mobile.
T-mobile has two limited editions, and one regular sidekick. http://www.tmobile.com for more info on those.
Suncom has the regular sidekick3, they provide service in the southeast united states.
As for T-mobile UK, they will get the regular SK3 sometime this month, it seems they *should* get it monday, december 6th 2006.
