Cingular Pantech Smartphone Part. 2

To add on to the previous post regarding the new Cingular Pantech smartphone here is some more solid info we have received. "The Pantech will have a numeric keypad that slides out of the bottom, think of a Samsung D807. It also has a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out simultaneously, think 8125. In addition it will run the Windows Mobile 5.0 OS and is small and black in color with a screen size of the Motorola L7. This is a candy bar style phone" This is looking good, stay tuned for live pics!

I’m confused, is the screen the size of the L7 screen or the L7 itself or is the phone the size of the L7. The L7 screen seems far to be small to be used for web browsing or even serious email. Given that most smartphones have minimum 2.2″ screens the 1.9″ screen of the L7 seems rather paltry.

Also, with a slider type phone there is no reason to use such a small screen as the keyboard and keypad will not take up any real estate on the front of the phone.
Therefore, why not us a 2.4 or 2.6″ screen that would take up most of the face?

If it had a screen this size and decent navigation keys or scroll wheel I would consider a phone like this.

    Can you clarify?
