cool phone the world clock and map is cool themes but the menu looks like my nokia 6020 and so does the gallery is the same but the icons are different

I have this phone… and use it only when traveling. I must admit that the painstaking process of leather is dramatically overstated; that is why Vertu will NOT backup their presumably high build quality. While leather looks great in the store, mine cracked on the 3 of four corners of the phone in less than 6 month of VERY light use. I use this phone less than 5 days a months and extremely disappointed that Vertu cannot step up and fix it free of charge. It it embarrassing to defend such poor quality and paid price to anyone who notices these defects. Considering such ignorance on Vertu’s part and the fact that this phone costs over $5000, it is unlikely that I will be extending my Concierge service beyond a free trial which expires by the end of a 12-months term. I will be bringing this phone to Nokia flagship store in NYC (where it was purchased) for a quote (which will take around 2 months for the UK specialists to look into). Not that I need it, but they are not offering you a loaner phone for the time being, not even an un-locked cheap Nokia phone. I am speechless…

These arguments are pointless. If you have to question the point of buying one you just don’t get it, so end of story. I first saw them in Dubai, where they were VERY expensive. Now that the Constellation has been released I’m up for it. If you wear a £2k Rolex then it follows that you’ll desire an equally elegant phone. If you want to wear a Swatch and carry a basic Nokia, fine, I used to. If you work hard and want to spend your money on nice things that should be fine too.

Hey I’m kicking it witha sk3 and omg this phone is sweet if I had 5 grand I would buy it but I don’t have 5 grade and I like my sk3 lol

Wow, you took that rather personally WeiLin. In all honesty, I would just leave those people alone because they simply don’t know, and your not going to change their mind. The people who don’t think Vertu phones are worth it also don’t think that First or Business Class is worth it when flying internationally.

The best thing to do is leave them to their delusion.

when you don’t know the EXCRUCIATING, complex processes behind the making of such an advent phone, you shut up and don’t embarrass yourself. The craftsmanship of the phone, the state-of-the-art materials they use, the impossibly painstaking ways they assemble the phone, such that it takes 3 FREAKING YEARS for EXPERTS(obviously not the likes of you) just to perfect the skill of assembling, everything is hand-crafted, like it says, to luxurious perfection. if you do not know what goes behind the scenes, have absolutely NO taste such that you call vertu ‘ludicrous’, then it’s no wonder that vertu remains exclusive from primitives like you, whom, sadly, will never enter the realms of advent gardism. To the rest out there who appreciates it like i do, i can assure you, that it is worth every penny spent on that treasure, because it is the product of Man’s dedication to extraordinary apprenticeship & drive for excellence. i currently am using the Vertu Constellation with gold and brown leather, and yes, it’s really quite exquisitely beautiful.

What a ridiculous waste of money. It doesn’t look like an especially good phone, so you’re obviously paying for the casing. But it’s stainless steel! That must be the bargain basement $4500 model. Gee, for my money, I’d be wanting Silver as a minimum! It’s a shame that there are people with so much money that they can’t find enough ways of spending it, so companies come up with these ludicrous products to give the extravagantly rich an excuse to give away a chunk of their wealth.

you’re pretty much paying for the concierge service, you know, to get the best tables at the best restaraunts. And even then I heard you don’t get the best of the best. I’m not a rich celeb though so I can’t go too far on this subject.

I’m with the gecko, the UI looks pretty cruddy in comparison with the casing, surely they could spend a little more on some ex Nokia or SE designers…

Why is everyone hung up on the price.. its supposed to be an exclusive phone.. thats the reason they wouldnt sell it for say $500 or so.. but i do agree that vertus in general suck.. for the kinda money ur paying they couldve added some decent features at least!!

Doesnt the menu kinda look like the old school Nokias? I figured that they could have done a little more in the appearance aspect. I was a little dissapointed. Especially for the price
